Color Fastness to Rubbing PN EN ISO 105-X12
This test illustrates the color resistance to rubbing.
The fabric sample is rubbed in a ‘Crockmeter’ machine using wet and dry cotton fabric.
This test assesses the color’s tendency to migrate to other surfaces during normal use.
In this section of ISO 105, a method is provided for determining the resistance of coloration for all types of textile products, including textile floor coverings and other pile fabrics, to rubbing and staining of other materials. The method is applicable to textile products made from all types of fibers in the form of yarn or fabric, including textile floor coverings, dyed or printed. Two tests can be performed – one using dry fabric rubbing and the other using wet fabric rubbing.
