Determination of elongation under load and permanent deformation for 50N and 125N
The test involves stretching the fabric to 50 N / 125 N for a period of 30 minutes. When this time ends, the elongation—referred to as “elongation under load”—is measured. Next, the sample is subjected to 30 minutes of relaxation, after which it is measured again. The obtained result shows the extent to which the sample has returned to its original length. This test is carried out when there is a suspicion that the upholstery material on furniture does not return to its base position. All results are expressed in percent (%).
